A new beginning, a clearing out of the old, starting over, starting fresh, and making room for new possibilities is inspiring and encourages us to look forward to what is ahead in a way that is full of hope and anticipation.

The holidays are always a favorite time for baking - at least it is for me! And one of my favorite flavor combinations this time of year is cranberry and orange. It’s a classic combo that works so well in many different kinds of baked goods such as muffins, scones, cookies and especially pound cake. Fall is the season that we have our palettes set on flavors such as pumpkin, rosemary, sage, and cranberry. However, I actually believe that lemons can play a starring role in cooking any time of year! When paired with the classic fall herbs such as rosemary, sage or thyme, lemons can bring forward a bright yet warm note that can be very reminiscent of soaking up blue-sky, sunny fall day.
